we are gonna relocate (again) to Oregon this winter,
so I take this winter season off.

Therefore, I am changing my 2K11 lineup gradually.
Following the suggestion from
Matt (Jackson Rivera's dad),
Richard (Michael Shaw's dad), and
Ted (Michael Thorbjornsen's dad),
I have picked TaylorMade Burner Superfast driver and woods as my X'mas gifts this years.

Since we moved to Charlottesville VA in July 2010,
Ethan withdrew from the Callaway Junior World Golf Championships (@ San Diego, CA).
Yet, Ethan will play the US Kids World Golf Championships (@ Pinehurst, NC) for sure,
because Charlottesville is only 4 hours away from Pinehurst.

Ethan finished runner-up in 2010 JGANC Championship 7-9 yrs-old flight @ Spring Creek Country Club (Ripon CA).
It is the second JGANC event that Ethan has ever played.
(Jun. 14) shot 45 and won the 6th seed in the three days match play event.
(Jun. 15) defeated
Rajvir Bedi (2-1)
and advanced to the semifinal.
(Jun. 16) defeated
Jackson Masiel (1-up)
and advanced to the final.
(Jun. 17) was defeated
Cooper Hunt (5-3)
in the final and finish runner-up.

This is the most fun spring break ever for Ethan,
but the busiest week ever for parents;
3 tournaments (4 event days) in 6 days and he won all of them.

Ethan won STJGC April tournament, intermediate flight.

Ethan was invited to represent STJGC to play in Rawister Cup and
won both matches;
1st day 3&2 and 2nd day 5&4
against junior players, Brian & William, from San Jose muni.
Since STJGC team won the overall match (17.5 - 6.5),
the BIG trophy will stay in STGC for one year.

Ethan celebrated his 8th birthday.

Ethan won Joe Mortara Spring Tour.
It was the first JGANC event that Ethan has ever played.
Ethan shot 34 to tie Andrew for first place and then secured his first JGANC title after winning the sudden-death playoff.

(1st rnd) Shot 2-under and tied at the 3rd place.
(2nd rnd) Shot 4-under, the 2nd place, and tailed the leader by one storke.
(final rnd) After five holes, Ethan still trailed the leader by two storkes.
Yet, he tied the leader on the 6th hole by sinking a 25-foot eagle putt.
Then, the coleader dropped one stroke back on the 8th hole.
Finally, Ethan birdied the 9th hole (3-under) and won the tournamnet;

Won 2009 Overall Points Champion in STJGC

After a year-long competition,
Ethan beat all age groups and won 2009 Overall Points Champion in Santa Teresa Junior Golf Club
at San Jose, CA.
Ethan also won 2009 Intermediate Flight Champion (for 2 consecutive years).

In addition, Ethan played 2009 STJGC Little League this Fall and his team (coached by

I learned how to fish (for the first time) from uncle Alan, who is visiting us from Japan.
Surprisingly, on the same day, I caught a bass at Coyote Lake.

Shot even-par at Santa Teresa GC's short-course

Aug. 23, I shot 27 in STJGC match-play qualifier to gain the first seat in the intermediate flight.
Aug. 28, I defeated Devrath by 2 & 1 and won the final round match againt Nikhil by 1-up.
My record at STGC's short course is one-under, but 27 is my lowest score in any STJGC junior tournament

Because of a family trip to Taiwan, Ethan missed the Callaway Junior World Golf Championship held July 14-16th in San Diego CA.
After coming back from overseas, he played in the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship held August 6-8th in Pinehurt NC.
He shot 37-38-40 and finished 8th in the boy 7-year-old group
